How to Join SPA
The Storage Products Association welcomes all interested parties to join the organization and to promote and contribute to expanding the awareness and understanding of storage solutions. There are three (3) membership classes: Sponsor; Principal; and Associate.
Sponsor Members
From the SPA’s bylaws (Article 3.3) Voting Members (Sponsors & Principals) must satisfy one of the following qualifications:
- be an enterprise that is in the business of manufacturing, licensing, servicing, or selling data storage related technologies, products or services, with a focus on (i) HDD, SSD, or SSHD, or (ii) other non-volatile memory subsystems; or
- be engaged in research or publication related to HDD, SSD, or SSHD technologies, products or services, or other non-volatile memory subsystems; or
- be a provider of consulting services related to HDD, SSD or SSHD technologies, products or services, or other non-volatile memory subsystems; or
- be an enterprise that incorporates HDD, SSD, or SSHD technologies, or other non-volatile memory subsystems in their products or services.
In addition, a Voting Member shall agree to and comply with the Membership Agreement, and pay the dues, fees and other assessments imposed by the Board of Directors from time to time.
Associate Members
From the SPA’s bylaws (Article 4.2) Associate Members must satisfy the following qualifications:
- supports the purposes of the Corporation;
- timely pays all dues and assessments established from time to time by the Board of Directors;
- executes a Membership Agreement; and
- fulfills all other membership qualifications as required by the Board of Directors
